  • Infuse flowers for a light, balsamic tea. Scatter in salads. Mix the leaves with onion for poultry stuffing. Cook with rice, fatty meats: pork, duck, sausage, as it aids digestion of fatty foods. Good for flavouring vinegars, omelettes, soups, cheeses and herbal butters.

  • Use in sachets and pot pourris, especially pineapple sage. Put dried leaves among linen to discourage insects. As a hair rinse, it removes and treats dandruff. Can also be used as an aromatic rinse for darkening grey hair and it stimulates the skin in facial steams, baths and lotions.
