Dried Sage
Infuse flowers for a light, balsamic tea. Scatter in salads. Mix the leaves with onion for poultry stuffing. Cook with rice, fatty meats: pork, duck, sausage, as it aids digestion of fatty foods. Good for flavouring vinegars, omelettes, soups, cheeses and herbal butters.
Use in sachets and pot pourris, especially pineapple sage. Put dried leaves among linen to discourage insects. As a hair rinse, it removes and treats dandruff. Can also be used as an aromatic rinse for darkening grey hair and it stimulates the skin in facial steams, baths and lotions.
